The story behind her song Linger goes, when Dolores was a young teen about 16 she used to go to the local Disco just like other teens around her age. However' she seen this boy at the dance who she thought was a dream, of course there was craic with her mate & the usual here he is. This same guy walked over to Delores an asked her up to dance, it was at this disco she had her first kiss & she fell for the guy, after the dance was over they parted & went their different ways. A month later she was living for the Saturday night & her return to the same Disco, she watched the door all night waiting for he heart throb to arrive. He eventually did & after a while she noticed him heading over to where she was sitting . He passed he by & asked her girlfriend up to dance! That was the end of the romance & the usual hurt followed .... When Delores told the story to a journalist, she said, I lost my love. But I got a great song out of it! RIP Delores ....
